After spending the international break in Orlando, it appears that Folarin Balogun is preparing to change his national team allegiance to the United States.
The New York-born forward was previously included in the Under-21 squad for England but withdrew due to an “injury.” Recently, there has been speculation about his potential switch to the American national team, with hints coming from Balogun’s social media posts and statements made by interim USMTN head coach Anthony Hudson.
Balogun, 21, was recently snubbed by England‘s head coach Gareth Southgate during the just concluded International break which led to him posting on Instagram with the caption “In life, you’d go where you are appreciated”.
According to various reports, officials from the USMNT are now optimistic about securing Balogun’s commitment following his visit to the United States.
