Bernado Silva says he is convinced that Manchester City will make it to the UEFA Champions League final ahead of holders, Real Madrid.
Wednesday’s second leg of City’s quarterfinal match ended in a 1-1 draw with Bayern Munich, giving them a 4-1 aggregate win and advancing to the semifinals.
The victory places City in a semi-final matchup versus Madrid, providing them the opportunity to exact revenge on the Spanish team for the dramatic loss they suffered to them at the same stage last year.
Silva believes his club has a good chance of defeating Carlo Ancelotti’s squad, telling BT Sport:
“We will go for it absolutely. We always go for it, but right now we think the team is very, very confident. We probably are going through”.
“We have reached the point in the season where losing one game will eliminate you from a competition”.
“Although it may be difficult, we will work incredibly hard to bring some titles home”.
After losing at the Semi Finals for the previous two years, City has advanced to the Champions League semi-finals for the third consecutive year.
The first leg of the semifinal match will be played in the second week of May. But on Saturday, City will play Sheffield United in the FA Cup semifinal.
