Soldiers shot and killed three suspected thugs for allegedly trying to snatch ballot boxes and the Bimodal Voters Accreditation System (BVAS) in an Ongoing Governorship and state house of Assembly election in Benue state.
It was gathered that the thugs invaded the polling units 026 and 004 in Gboko South while electoral processes were ongoing and causing disruption, before they were gunned down by the military operatives nearby, according to eye-witness, Moses Agure-Dam.
He said, “The thugs invaded the polling units and disrupted the election. They were three in number, one snatched the BVAS while others snatched ballot boxes but they didn’t not succeed.
“They were all shot dead instantly by the soldiers in the area”.
