According to reports, Chelsea may allow defender Thiago Silva to leave the club this summer and make a return to his former club Fluminense in Brazil.
Silva signed a contract extension with Chelsea in February that keeps him at the club until 2024, but he has expressed a desire to finish his career at Fluminense.
The Blues are said to be willing to let him go if he wants to move back to his homeland, and Fluminense’s president has already approached Silva to discuss a possible deal.
Although Silva is not on the list of players that Chelsea want to sell at the end of next season, the club would grant his wish due to his excellent service and the return of Levi Colwill from his loan at Brighton.
Silva started his career at Fluminense, where he excelled before joining AC Milan and Paris Saint-Germain before moving to Chelsea in 2020.
