Liverpool secured their first league victory in five matches by defeating Leeds by 6-1.
It was Leeds Second consecutive home defeat in less than seven days.
Despite a sluggish start, Liverpool overpowered an ineffective Leeds team with precision and efficiency.
The home side accused Trent Alexander-Arnold of using his arm to control the ball, but he nevertheless drove forward to assist Cody Gakpo for the opening goal.
Soon after, Mohamed Salah fired in a shot from an acute angle to give Liverpool a commanding lead.
Leeds managed to regain some hope in the second half when Luis Sinisterra dispossessed Ibrahima Konate and cleverly chipped the ball over Alisson.
However, Liverpool quickly regained their dominance with a neat finish from forward Diogo Jota, his first goal since April 2022.
Despite having a goal disallowed for offside, Salah eventually found the back of the net, putting the game beyond Leeds’ reach after a superb move.
Jota then sealed the victory with his second goal, scoring from a cross delivered by Jordan Henderson.
Darwin Nunez, who came on as a substitute, sealed the victory for his team with a precise side-foot finish against a disorganized Whites side.
Leeds had a poor defensive performance last weekend, conceding five goals at home to Crystal Palace, and currently hold the worst defensive record in the Premier League.
Despite the win, Jurgen Klopp’s team still sits in eighth place in the Premier League table, only one point behind Brighton in seventh and two points behind Aston Villa in sixth.
