According to a report, Jadon Sancho is eager to leave Manchester United on loan and return to Borussia Dortmund due to his struggles at Old Trafford.
Since his arrival at United in 2021, Sancho has struggled to secure playing time, prompting the winger to seek a temporary move back to his former club.
German outlet Suddeutsche Zeitung reports that Sancho is desperate to make the move “sooner rather than later.”
Sancho spent four years with Dortmund prior to his move to United and was a sensation in the Bundesliga, scoring 50 goals in 137 appearances across all competitions.
His best season came in 2019-20, where he scored 17 goals and provided 16 assists in the league. However, Sancho has only featured 19 times in the Premier League this season, starting 16 of those games.
Despite putting in some notable performances, such as last night’s 2-2 draw against Tottenham, his overall displays have not met expectations. Sancho’s contract with United expires in 2026, but the club has the option to extend it for an additional year.
