Napoli’s coach Luciano Spalletti has given a positive update on Victor Osimhen, the team’s star striker.
Osimhen is currently out of action due to a muscle injury he sustained while playing for Nigeria on international duty.
He was unable to play in last weekend’s major loss to AC Milan at the Diego Armando Maradona Stadium, and there are concerns that he may not be fit for the upcoming UEFA Champions League match against AC Milan.
However, Spalletti has said that the Nigerian player is expected to play against the current Serie A champions at the San Siro, but not in tomorrow’s game.
“There is no chance that Victor will play this weekend. But he should be available for the Champions League game next week, but we will see about that” Spaletti Said.
Spaletti added that there are many possibilities from a scheduling point of view, but they have to wait for the practical development of the work.
This season, Osimhen has scored 25 goals in 29 appearances across all competitions for Napoli this season.
