Temilade Openiyi better known by her stage name, Tems is a Nigerian singer, songwriter, and record producer from Oyo State Nigeria.
She was born on June 11, 1996, in Lagos, Nigeria to a British father and a Yoruba Mom. Tems revealed that she grew up in a household filled with music and began her journey in music at a young age. Her father was a drummer, and her mother was a gospel singer.
However, things changed for them, after her parents divorced at the age of 5, they relocated back to Nigeria.
Tems attended Dowen College in Lagos before moving to Johannesburg, South Africa, to study music at Monash university, south Africa.
