Brentford striker Ivan Toney has admitted to breaking Football Association betting rules ahead of his disciplinary hearing.
It means the 26-year-old could face a lengthy ban.Toney was charged with 232 violations in November and 30 more in December.He is said to have admitted to many of the charges but is contesting others.
FA rule E8 prohibits players from betting on games or sharing information for the purpose of betting.
The alleged violations occurred between 25 February 2017 and 23 January 2021, when Toney played for Scunthorpe United, Wigan Athletic, Peterborough United, and Brentford.
Toney now joins a list of English players to have bridged betting rules with Joey Barton and Kieran Trippier also breaking betting rules in the past.
