Nigerian rapper Olarewaju Ogunmefun better known by his stage name, Vector, has taken a swipe at elderly people, especially politicians that don’t respect themselves on social media platforms.
He took to his page on microblogging platform, Twitter to tackle the irrational behaviors displayed by Nigerian public office holders on social media.
The rapper stressed that, their behavior would have been pardoned if they did their job while in office.
Speaking on the issue of bad leadership in the Nigerian government, Vector noted that if a leader in a public office is doing what is required of them, no citizen would see a need to complain.
Vector wrote “It just occurred to me that presently,
the elders we are supposed to be respecting are busy disrespecting themselves calling Their youth (the people’s future) all sorts of names.
It could have made pardonable sense if they (the “elders” ) were truly excellent in public office.
For example, no one is dissing FFK because he looks like a fly frog on aviators on his dp. No, they diss him because he’s not a man of any of his plenty academically sound utterances.
These are men of Public office representing the people they are fighting lol.”
“A good example of how a leader should deal with the people who are concerned about his/her role is Arsenal’s Granit Xhaka. The people supporting the team he plays for booed him on the pitch at some point but he will always come out and do his job for the team he plays for, not himself but the team he represents.
He did it till the boos became Praises.
If any political office holder is right, everyone eventually sees.
Public office is not personal.
You took the office and it’s perks knowing you were going to be responsible for the people wether they criticize you or not.
You want to reference countries you japa to but you will not see that even the royal family gets the stick from the people talk less of the “slaves” they colonized.”
