Eden Hazard has acknowledged that his relationship with Real Madrid manager Carlo Ancelotti has completely broken down, revealing that they no longer communicate.
Despite his availability, Hazard has not featured in La Liga or the Champions League since the World Cup break. He admits that Ancelotti seems to have given up on him but still respects the coach due to his contribution to football.
Hazard said “I have respect for Ancelotti and all he has achieved but I must say, we don’t really talk to each other that much”
Hazard’s four-year stint at Santiago Bernabeu has been plagued by poor form and injuries, and he has failed to live up to the €100 million fee that saw him join from Chelsea in 2019.
As Hazard approaches the final year of his contract, speculation has been rife about a potential move elsewhere, but he has expressed his desire to stay and prove his worth.
However, it is ultimately up to Real Madrid to decide whether to keep or sell the Belgian forward, who has been linked with a move to MLS.
