Nigerian media personality and dancer, Omoyeni Anikulapo Kuti simply known as Yeni-kuti has aired her opinion on one of the most controversial topics on the internet today which is cheating in marriage.
She said that cheating is not enough reason for her to leave her marriage for another woman.
Yeni made this revelation in a recent interview with media personality and podcaster, Chude Jideonwo.
According to the descendant of the great Fela Kuti, she would stay in her marriage with her cheating husband if that is the only thing he does against their union.
Using her mother as an example, the sexagenarian opined that her late father, Fela had 27 wives and many children but she never left him, so why she leave her husband because of one girl?. she questioned
“I won’t leave my husband if he’s cheating, that’s me. You can leave your own husband if he’s cheating that’s you.
“Don’t judge me, I’m not judging you. My father has 27 wives, my father didn’t go. So is me that will now go because of one girl. It cannot happen” she added
In another part of the interview, she disclosed that Fela wasn’t a great father in the commercial sense stating that they never felt a special bond as Fela’s children despite his influence and popularity.
“ In his way, yes but in the commercial sense no. I don’t even think he should have had children. He should have just been a father to all the nation. National father. There was no special bond as Fela’s child. You are just another human being on the street as far as he was concerned he was different because we didn’t call him daddy for instance”
