A 10 year old boy have died after a Sport Utility Vehicle (SUV) crushes ticycle transporting family of four in lagos state.
The horrific incident occured on sunday along Isheri-Igando Road in the Alimosho Local Government Area of Lagos State.
A source who was present at the time of the incident said that the driver of the SUV was moving at a very high speed towards igando area before he lost Control of the vehicle and rammed into some commercial buses and the Tricycle, crushing the family and instantly killing the infant.
While the commercial buses were partially affected, the boy died instantly on the tricycle. Other occupants were critically injured and were rushed to a nearby hospital.
An eyewitness, Dotun Oyefeso, said the victims were heading to church when the incident happened.
“The family hired the tricycle rider on Governors Road to take them to their church around the Isheri Olofin area. The couple was seated behind with their two boys and when they got to the sharp bend immediately after Idowu Egba, the SUV crossed from the other side of the road and hit them. The impact of the collision threw the tricycle and the occupants across the drainage by the roadside,” he said.
One of the commercial bus drivers, who identified himself only as Francis, said the SUV almost had a head-on collision with his bus before it rammed into the tricycle.
The other commercial bus driver, Blessing Amajir, said he was also heading to church with his family before the SUV collided with his vehicle.
