Carlo Ancelotti has denied the claim that he is no longer on speaking terms with Eden Hazard at Real Madrid.
Despite Hazard’s struggles for form and fitness over four years at Santiago Bernabeu, Ancelotti has insisted that nobody is being ignored in his squad and that Hazard is simply a victim of competition for places.
The Italian manager has acknowledged that he doesn’t speak to Hazard much, but he believes it is a matter of character and comfort.
Ancelotti emphasized that the most important thing is that he and Hazard respect each other even if they don’t talk much.
Hazard’s lack of playing time is due to the fierce competition in his position, with Vinicius performing well.
Ancelotti’s comments came ahead of the Champions League last-16 encounter with Liverpool. Madrid lead 5-2 from the first Leg.
