The public relations officer for the Lagos state police command, SP Benjamin Hundeyin has given a reply to Peter Okoye‘s request asking them to be fair in their judgment to Afrobeat singer, Seun Kuti.
He said it is not in the power of the police to give justice but the Nigerian court of law.
Recall that Seun’s arrest was ordered by the Inspector General of police on the evening of May 13 for assaulting a police officer on duty.
Although the police officers who went to arrest him revealed that Seun was nowhere to be seen in his Lagos residence on their arrival.
SP Benjamin Hundeyin while replying to Mr. P on Twitter asked him to direct his concern to the judiciary stating that the police are not in charge of giving justice but the court.
He Wrote: “Just in case you didn’t know or have forgotten, we don’t give justice. The court does!
