According to reports, Bayern Munich, the Bundesliga powerhouse, has allegedly sacked Julian Nagelsmann from his position as head Coach and is planning to hire Thomas Tuchel as his successor.
The club is reportedly in talks about potential replacements following their recent defeat to Bayer Leverkusen in the Bundesliga.
They are considering hiring Thomas Tuchel, the former coach of Dortmund and Chelsea, to join the team at Allianz Arena. This loss, combined with Dortmund’s dominant 6-1 victory over Koln, has caused Bayern to lose their top spot in the table.
The team will face Dortmund in the upcoming Der Klassiker match, and if they are unable to secure a victory, they will fall four points behind Edin Terzic’s team.
Additionally, Bayern has advanced to the quarter-finals of the Champions League but faces a challenging match against Manchester City, managed by their former coach Pep Guardiola. The winner of the tie will face either Real Madrid or Chelsea for a spot in the final.
Following the international break, Bayern’s schedule includes several critical matches, starting with a match against Dortmund, followed by a DFB-Pokal quarter-final against Freiburg. The two teams will meet again in the league before Bayern travels to the Etihad Stadium for their match against Manchester City.
Bayern Munich announced the appointment of Nagelsmann as their new head coach on April 27, 2021. The five-year contract was set to begin on July 1, 2021, after which he replaced Hansi Flick for a world-record managerial transfer fee of €25 Million.
During his two-year tenure, Nagelsmann led the team to one Bundesliga title and two German Supercup titles.
