The quarter-final draw for the FA Cup was announced this morning. Vincent Kompany’s Burnley will face Manchester City at the City of Manchester Stadium.
Kompany, who is a City legend having played for the club from 2008 to 2019, has led Burnley to the top of the Championship in his debut season as their manager.
Meanwhile, Grimsby – the lowest-ranked team remaining in the tournament – will travel to Brighton & Hove Albion, and Manchester United will take on Fulham in an all-Premier League clash. Sheffield United will face Blackburn Rovers in the last fixture.
Sheffield United caused a major upset by beating Tottenham Hotspur, who are currently fourth in the Premier League, in their last match.
Blackburn Rovers who also caused an upset by defeating Leicester City in the fifth round of the tournament. Grimsby produced the surprise result of the round by beating Southampton 2-1 to qualify for the quarter-finals for the first time since 1939.
