Bayern Munich maintained their position at the top of the Bundesliga with a 1-0 win against Freiburg, thanks to a superb goal from Matthijs de Ligt.
The Dutch defender unleashed a powerful shot from 25 yards, which found the back of the net after a pass from Jamal Musiala.
Despite Freiburg’s efforts, including Ritsu Doan’s shot that hit the post and Roland Sallai’s attempt that was saved by Yann Sommer, they were unable to equalize.
Meanwhile, Borussia Dortmund secured a 2-1 victory over third-placed Union Berlin, with Donyell Malen scoring the opener and Kevin Behrens leveling.
The 18-year-old Youssoufa Moukoko came off the bench to secure the win for Dortmund with a goal. Dortmund remain two points behind Bayern Munich in the league table, which is currently led by Thomas Tuchel’s team.
