Barcelona’s head coach Xavi has replied to Ansu Fati’s father Bori over the recent comments he made about his son’s lack of playing time at the club this season.
Bori Fati expressed his dissatisfaction and acknowledged that he had considered the possibility of moving his son away from the Camp Nou.
Ahead of their La Liga trip to Elche this weekend, Xavi responded by reiterating that he is only concerned about the player and not his father.
“He (Ansu Fati) is composed and calm“, Xavi said, “but I am only focused on him and not his father”
“He is speaking out for his son, and I understand him because I have experienced things like that too“.
Fati has had Series of injuries which has limited his playing time this season. He has started just nine La Liga games.
Xavi is more concerned about the player’s progress and continued,
“I have trust and complete faith in Ansu. As I have done with many other players, I have spoken to him frequently and encountered him frequently. I’m the first to support his success”.
Barcelona are in action on Sunday as they travel to Elche in a bid to Extend their lead at the top of the La Liga.
