Afrobeat singer, Seun Anikulapo Kuti, has narrated his encounter with the Nigerian police following his arrest for allegedly assaulting a police officer on May 11th.
He made this known during an Instagram live session he held recently.
According to Seun, contrary to what the media insinuated, he was not imprisoned. He stated that he has never been to prison or spent time in a cell before, which makes this incident his first encounter with such circumstances.

During his first day in the cell, Seun said he found the conditions to be extremely challenging. The cell where he was held was in a poor state, which added to his difficulties.
However, as time passed and he spent two days with his cellmates, he gradually grew accustomed to the situation.
Describing the cell, Seun explained that it was a small room meant for three individuals, but it was overcrowded with over 30 people locked up from morning till night.
The lack of ventilation and natural light further aggravated the already harsh conditions they were subjected to.
