The Peoples Democratic Party House of Representatives candidate for Birnin Kebbi-Kalgo-Bunza Federal Constituency of Kebbi State, Abba Haliru, in the 2023 general election, is dead.
His death was confirmed by the Director-General, Kebbi State PDP Governorship Campaign Council, Alhaji Abubakar Shehu, who said Abba died after a brief illness on Friday.
He emerged the candidate of the PDP in the 2022 primary after defeating the sitting House of Representatives member, Bello Relisco.
The deceased was the first son of former PDP national chairman, Dr Bello Haliru.
The deceased candidate would be interred today Saturday in Abuja, according to family source, The PUNCH learnt.
