Gospel singer, Tope Alabi, has urged Nigerians to ensure they get their Permanent Voter Cards and vote wisely in the forthcoming 2023 general elections.

She noted that 2023 would be a glorious year for the country and the citizens if the electorates chose rightly and prayed to God ahead of the New Year.

According to the statement, Alabi made the call during an interview at a welfare programme and Christmas outreach tagged, “Comforting Widows hearts for Christmas” which was held on Tuesday in Abule-Egba area of Lagos State.

The programme was organised by Mardebra Comforters Foundation, a subsidiary of Tope Alabi Gospel Vibes Limited.

Speaking at the occasion, Tope Alabi said, “My message to Nigerian Christians and community is that we should vote wisely and pray to God very well and get close to God the more. We can see that the end time is here. We have several things happening but all we need is just God.

“We should do good all the time. We should look for those who need help around us and render it. But most importantly, get your PVC and vote wisely and rightly. I believe that 2023 will be a glorious year for us in the name of Jesus.

Speaking on what motivated the programme, the gospel minister said, “What motivated me to do this thing is not only me. It is my husband and myself. What motivated us is that when you are close to God, you will know what you are supposed to do. When you observe your fellowship, you pray and then you will ask God every day, what do you want me to do? What would you have me do? That is one.

“Two, you should know that taking care of people is for your own good. It is not about those people alone. It is about you. It is about your life. When you know what God wants you to do, you will do it.”
