Bukayo Saka has reached an agreement in principle for a new long-term contract at Arsenal until 2028.
Although the deal has yet to be signed, the fundamental terms of the contract have been established, with only a few minor details left to be worked out. The new contract will see Saka earn over £200k-per-week, in addition to bonuses, making him the highest-paid player at the club.
Discussions regarding an extension have been ongoing since the summer, and an agreement has been reached, which is expected to be finalized soon.
Saka, who has been named Arsenal’s player of the year in the last two seasons and is their top scorer in the current campaign, is set to receive a new deal worth approximately £200,000 per week, becoming the highest-paid player at Arsenal.
This will be a significant boost to Mikel Arteta’s team as they aim to win the Premier League for the first time since 2004. The focus will now shift to finalizing a new contract with centre-back William Saliba.
Saka has been Arsenal’s most prolific goalscorer in the PL this season with 9 goals in 24 league games so far.
