AC Milan’s Rafael Leao continued his impressive form from the midweek Champions League fixtures by scoring two goals to help his team secure a 2-0 win over Lecce on Sunday.
Leao opened the scoring in the 40th minute with a header before adding his second in the 72nd minute, weaving past two Lecce defenders before slotting the ball home.
Meanwhile, Romelu Lukaku also scored twice for Inter Milan in their 3-0 victory over Empoli earlier in the day.
AC Milan are currently in a battle with their city rivals, Inter Milan, for a place in next year’s Champions League.
Although they are currently in fifth place, they are only behind Roma on goal difference. Inter Milan are just two points behind them in the standings.
Lecce, who are in the relegation zone, collected just one point from their last eight matches. They now face a tough run of fixtures, which includes games against Spezia, Verona, Juventus, and Lazio.
