Bayern Munich Secured their 11th consecutive Bundesliga title by Defeating Koln after Borussia Dortmund failed to Defeat Mainz.
The match saw Kingsley Coman score an early goal, propelling Bayern to a 2-1 win.
Meanwhile, Dortmund where held to a 2-2 draw at home by Mainz, a result which allowed Thomas Tuchel’s side to overtake them and claim the championship.
This marks Bayern’s 11th consecutive title win. At the start of the game, the Bavarian team was two points behind Dortmund, who fell behind 2-0 within the first 25 minutes of their match against Mainz.
They managed to pull one back through Raphael Guerreiro, and Nicklas Sule equalized in the dying moments of the game. However, it was not enough to secure the title.
Although Koln managed to equalize from the penalty spot in the 81st minute, Jamal Musiala scored a winner in the 89th minute, ultimately sealing the championship for Bayern.
After a tumultuous season for Bayern, this trophy provides a positive conclusion.
In March, the club dismissed coach Julian Nagelsmann and brought in Tuchel as his replacement. However, the former Chelsea coach’s reign was not without its challenges.
Bayern faced eliminations from both the Champions League and DFB-Pokal tournaments, and last week’s loss to RB Leipzig put them behind in the race for the Bundesliga title.
