Popular Afrobeat artist, David Adeleke, widely known as Davido, has revealed that he did not accept any payment for his performance at the Inauguration ceremony of Abia State’s newly elected governor, Alex Otti.
Yesterday, A video of Davido’s performance at the event circulated online, leading some people to wonder if he charged a fee to perform for the state governor during his Inauguration.
In response to these inquiries, Davido clarified that he did not receive any money for his performance.
He stated that he has known His Excellency Alex Otti for his entire life and has confidence in his ability to excel as the governor of Abia State.
Davido tweeted:“Not a dime I’ve known Excellency all my life…and I’m sure he will do well for the people of Abia state”
