In the 15th minute, Oussama Idrissi put Feyenoord ahead, and three minutes later, Santiago Gimenez, a Mexican international, doubled their lead, effectively ensuring the outcome of the game and sparking celebrations in the stands. Igor Paixao added a third goal in the second half, nine minutes after the restart.
With 79 points from 32 matches, Feyenoord has an insurmountable lead at the top of the standings, ahead of PSV Eindhoven, their nearest challengers, who can achieve a maximum of 77 points if they win all three of their remaining fixtures.
Feyenoord lost just one of their 32 league matches this season, securing their 16th title and their second in the past two decades, thereby emerging from the shadows of arch-rivals Ajax Amsterdam and PSV
