Nigerian Afro beat singer, Divine Ikubor better known as Rema has debunked the rumors that he has a beef with A-list singer, Davido, implying that fans are the ones making up imaginary beefs for singers in the music industry.
He made this known on Ebro Laura styles Rosenberg show where he was a guest.
When asked about his beef with Davido, Rema vehemently denied it, implying it’s a big rumor that never happened.
The 22 year old revealed that that he is just an introvert who wants to make good music. He said he doesn’t look for trouble and he enjoys staying on his lane.
Rema blamed fans who would stop at nothing to compare artists doing well for themselves in the industry.
Speaking on the beef that happens amongst afrobeat singers, Rema said it is usually not the artists that start beefing each other but the fans who compare artists achievements to one another.
Using himself as an example, the Marvin Signee noted that he has never been in support of such behaviors from his fans, that as a matter of fact, he do caution any of his fans that tries to compare him to other artists inorder to start a fight.
He further revealed that what pains him the most is that some Nigerian artists enjoy the bants from their fans.
He said, “success in the music industry is a circle, as an artist, you’ll not always be at the top of your game. Today you are the top enjoying all the bants and comparison from fans, one day it will be my turn at the top and when the fans wants to retaliate. I won’t call them to order. “
