Former Manchester United captain, Roy Keane, has expressed his strong reaction to the team’s humiliating 7-0 defeat to Liverpool, stating that he would go into hiding if he ever suffered such an embarrassing loss.
This defeat marked an unwanted record for the Red Devils and raised concerns about their attitude towards the game. Keane, who witnessed the shocking game, commented that it was a tough day for United and that the senior players failed to demonstrate leadership skills.
“Honestly, I’d go into hiding if I ever lose like that. There was no contest in this game at all. Liverpool realised that man utd were frail at the back and capitalized on that. They were celebrating the League cup trophy and that got into their heads” Keane said while speaking on Skysports this morning.
He also criticized the team for their lack of pride, fight, and spirit when they were down by two goals. Keane concluded by saying that the players should be embarrassed and ashamed of their performance.
