Romelu Lukaku is apparently ready to leave Inter, and there are no plans to continue transfer negotiations with Chelsea.
After selling the striker to Stamford Bridge for £98 million, the Serie A giants brought him back to San Siro in the summer of 2022.
The Belgium international has only scored three league goals this season, with two of those goals coming from the penalty spot.
He has also scored seven goals in 24 games across all competitions this season.
The 29-year-old has struggled with his form and health this season, and according to Gazzetta dello Sport, Inter will not be trying to re-sign him for 2023–24 season.
Inter will be focusing on other options instead of continuing discussions with Chelsea.
Marcus Thuram of Borussia Monchengladbach and Roberto Firmino of Liverpool are reportedly on the Nerazzurri’s radar as they look to sign a new striker this summer.
Another major target for the Milan is Mateo Retegui, an international for Italy who is presently on loan at Tigre.
