Kylian Mbappe has stated his intention to remain at Paris St-Germain for the time being, but has also made it clear that he will not be extending his contract beyond 2024.
The French forward’s current deal expires after next season, with the option of an additional year.
While Mbappe tweeted on Tuesday that he would be staying at PSG, a letter from his representatives indicated that next season would be his final one at the club.
Mbappe has also stated that PSG were informed of his decision to reject the contract extension on July 15, 2022, and that official correspondence has since been exchanged to confirm this.
PSG is reportedly willing to sell him this summer rather than risk losing him for free next year.
Despite rumors to the contrary, Mbappe has denied any intention to join Real Madrid in the current transfer window.
Since joining PSG in 2017, the 24 year Old has scored 212 goals in 260 games for the French club.
