Fulham striker Aleksandar Mitrovic and manager Marco Silva will face no further sanctions on their respective bans after their appeal was rejected by an independent commission.
Mitrovic’s eight-match ban for pushing referee Chris Kavanagh during their FA Cup loss at Manchester United will not be extended, and Silva, who served a two-match ban, will return to the touchline for Fulham’s match against Leeds on Saturday.
Mitrovic received a three-match ban for the sending-off, three for violent conduct, and an additional two for “improper, abusive, insulting, and threatening” language, bringing his total suspension to eight games.
He has apologized to his teammates and supporters for his actions, admitting that his frustration got the better of him.
Mitrovic will be available for Fulham’s last three Premier League matches, beginning with their match against Southampton on May 13th.
Fulham has won one and lost two matches since Mitrovic began serving his suspension and is currently ranked tenth, with their upcoming home match against Leeds on Saturday.
