Veteran Nollywood actress Patience Ozokwor better known as Mama G By Her fans has advised Upcoming Actors not to be in a hurryto move to Abuja or Lagos.
The actress while speaking at the candlelight vigil in memory of Africa Movie Academy Awards founder, Peace Anyiam-Osigwe, advised young actors that they don’t need to move to mega cities to make it in the industry.
She added that all they need to succeed in the movie industry is their talent. Not their location in the country.
The 64 year old actress said that most of the top Nollywood actors started their careers in the east before moving to the west and forgot their roots.
In her words
” For me, I said I am going to stay in Enugu, inside the village and when I go to Lagos, I tell them I am a village woman.
“I stay at Ngwo in Udi Local Government Area of Enugu State and God has shown me that you can become a star from anywhere. You don’t need to be in Lagos or Abuja”.
“If you are good enough, they will call you even from America.”
