Reports from Spain suggest that Cristiano Ronaldo may be considering a return to Real Madrid, just three months after signing for Al Nassr.
The 38-year-old Portuguese footballer signed a contract worth £ 175 million per year until 2025, making him the highest-paid player in the world.
However, it seems that Ronaldo is already thinking about leaving the Saudi Pro League, with Los Blancos apparently prepared to offer him an ambassadorial role.
Ronaldo’s partner, Georgina Rodriguez, is also keen to return to Madrid. Although Florentino Perez has guaranteed that Ronaldo will not be short of work at the Santiago Bernabeu, it is thought that he would not return as a player, as he considers that chapter of his career to be closed.
During his previous stint at Real Madrid, Ronaldo scored 451 goals in 438 appearances, helping the team to win four Champions League titles, three Club World Cups, and two LaLiga titles.
Since joining Al Nassr, Ronaldo has scored 12 goals, including one in his side’s recent 3-0 win over Al Raed. Al Nassr are currently in second place in the Saudi Pro League standings, three points behind leaders Al Ittihad, who have a game in hand.
