Lorient caused a major upset as they defeated Paris St-Germain by 3-1. The French Champions were reduced to 10 men in the first half.
Enzo le Fee broke the deadlock for Lorient, blasting the ball high into the net from Romain Faivre’s cutback.
Achraf Hakimi’s dismissal for receiving two yellow cards within 15 minutes put PSG at a disadvantage, but Kylian Mbappe managed to equalize for the hosts. However, goals from Darlin Yongwa and Bamba Dieng secured the victory for Lorient.
Yongwa’s close-range finish into the bottom corner gave Lorient the lead just before half-time, and in the 87th minute, Dieng sealed the three points by heading in the rebound after Gianluigi Donnarumma had saved his initial attempt.
Despite the defeat, PSG maintains their grip on the top of the Ligue 1 table, eight points ahead of second-placed Marseille, with five games remaining.
