Alejandro Garnacho has signed a new Five Year Contract at Manchester United
The 18-year-old’s previous contract, which had a 2024 expiration date with a one-year extension option, has now been extended by the club to June 30, 2028, following a breakout campaign.
Garnacho, who has made 31 appearances for the first team this season despite suffering an ankle injury against Southampton last month, is back in training.
He has five goals and six assists on the season.
In a statement released by Manchester United, Garnacho said:
“When I joined this incredible club, I dreamed of achieving my debut, playing at Old Trafford, scoring my first goal, and winning trophies with this badge on my chest.”
“I feel incredibly emotional and pleased to have having gone through these experiences with my family, who have helped me every step of the way”.
“We are all grateful for the opportunity to continue our adventure at Manchester United, and I’ve already started working toward the next set of goals“.
Garnacho has improved his reputation this season with crucial goals against Fulham in the Premier League and West Ham in the FA Cup, as well as a memorable assist for Marcus Rashford in January’s derby victory against Manchester City.
