In an explosive interview, Ansu Fati’s father Bori discussed his son’s predicament in Barcelona.
The 20-year-old has struggled to make an impression at Camp Nou this year and hasn’t scored in La Liga since a 3-0 victory over Villarreal in October.
After Lionel Messi’s unexpected exit from Barcelona in 2021, Fati took over wearing the No. 10 jersey, but he has since suffered from a number of severe injuries and has yet to force his way back into the starting lineup for Barca.
Bori Fati is angry with Xavi’s use of his son at Camp Nou and feels that he needs more playing time.
“I am not happy that my son is playing regularly. He was an intergral part of the team When Messi, Suarez and Griezmann was here, but now he cannot even Make the starting Eleven”.
Fati broke into the Barcelona first team set up in 2019. Despite going on to become one of the world most promising footballer, injuries have also played a part in his development.
As a result, he has lost his place to Gavi, Raphinha and Ousmane Dembele.
