In his latest press conference Jurgen Klopp, has used an analogy to dismiss the notion of making big-money transfers, equating it to a child asking for a Ferrari for Christmas.
Liverpool have been linked with a potential move for Borussia Dortmund’s 19-year-old midfielder Jude Bellingham, but Klopp has stated that the club will not pursue him due to the high cost involved.
Klopp has emphasized the need for financial prudence, stating that it is not feasible for the club to sign six players for £100m each in a single transfer window.
“Talk of big-money transfers is like a five-year-old asking for a Ferrari for Christmas,” said Liverpool manager Jurgen Klopp,
“We cannot have six players in a summer, everyone for £100m,” Klopp stated, emphasizing the need for financial prudence.
Despite being heavily linked with the 19-year-old midfielder, Klopp has made it clear that Liverpool will not be pursuing him, given the potential cost of over £100m.
Meanwhile, Klopp also stated that Luiz Diaz will be available to face Leeds on Monday night in the Premier League.
