The Italian Football authorities have lifted the ban on Juventus to partially close their stadium.
Romelu Lukaku of Inter was racially harassed by Juventus supporters during the Coppa Italia semifinal first leg at the Allianz Stadium, but Juventus has essentially dodged punishment.
The Tribuna Sud, the section of the stadium where Lukaku heard racial slurs following Juventus’ 1-1 draw with Inter on April 4, had been shut down by the Italian football association.
Due to his response to the taunts in his jubilation after successfully converting a last-second penalty, the Belgian striker received a second yellow card and was then dismissed.
However, despite the fact that he would be required to miss the second game on April 26, Juventus has essentially avoided punishment.
The club maintained that they had done everything in their power to work with the authorities to find those who were behind the racist remarks.
An adult and a minor fan each received lifetime and 10-year bans from Juventus games.
To accommodate the Old Lady’s league match against Napoli next weekend, the Italian federation approved their case and suspended the penalty.
