Popular Nollywood Actor, Ibrahim Chatta has finally broken his silence on being snubbed at the 9th edition of AMVCA.In recent interview with an Ibadan radio station, Ibrahim Chatta spoke on how AMVCA didn’t invite him to the award ceremony.

He said he wasn’t bothered by the lack of acknowledgment, admitting there are lots of actors better than him.
He however lamented on how he was not invited to the ceremony while his younger colleagues were given invitations.
He said: “My exclusion from the nomination list didn’t make me feel bad because no matter how hard you think you are working, your mates are also working, and the best has to be picked every year. But my problem is that they don’t invite me and that looks like a conspiracy against me.
“I understand that it’s not everyone that gets nominated into the categories, but at least they’re supposed to invite me, but they don’t. So, I do feel like – is it that my works are not worthy enough? Because I used to see my younger colleagues, including those that just joined Nollywood, all showing off in different outfits at the even”
The thespian said he won’t allow any award to belittle his works and talent as an actor stating his biggest goal to win the prestigious OSCAR awards.
“I always thought my work wasn’t good enough but I see my younger colleagues who score an invite to the event. I don’t want any award to limit me cause I am aiming for the Oscars. If I am focusing on not being nominated at AMVCA, I can lose focus.”
