Erling Haaland has been named the Premier League Player of the Season after his impressive debut season with Manchester City.
Haaland scooped both the young player of the year and the player of the year awards respectively.
On Saturday morning, the Premier League announced the news in a tweet on its Twitter account.
It tweeted, “It had to be him! @ErlingHaaland is your @EASPORTSFIFA Player of the Season.”
Haaland has scored 36 goals in the Premier League this season and the Norway international will be looking to increase his tally for the season when Manchester City travel to Brentford this weekend.
Haaland, who also leads the Champions League in goals scored, will look to lead Pep Guardiola’s team to victory when they take on Inter Milan in the UEFA Champions League final on June 3rd.
The 22-year old also won the Football Writers Association’s (FWA) player of the year earlier in the season.
