As per reports, a historical allegation of rape has led to the questioning of a Premier League manager by the police.
The coach is alleged to have sexually assaulted a teenage girl several years ago, and he was interviewed under caution by the Metropolitan Police detectives.
The Sun newspaper reported that the police were informed of the case 21 months ago.
A statement from the Met Police reads:
“On Thursday, September 23, 2021, the Met received a crime report regarding an historic rape allegation.
“On Monday, June 12, a man was interviewed under caution at a police station.”
The coach, who no longer works at the organization where he met the complainant, voluntarily attended a police station last Monday with his solicitor.
He denies all the allegations and is said to be shocked by them.
Further investigations will be conducted before a decision is made on any further action.
