Nigerian singer, Simi Sola has slammed Nigerians who let politicians use them to promote tribalism for their selfish interest and gains.
Speaking on the outcome of the 2023 gubernatorial elections, the singer said the tribalism that happened in the 2023 elections is disgusting and warned Nigerians to desist from it.
Simi said when the elections are over, politicians will move on with their lives and the people using tribalism to propagate hate among Nigerians will be left to deal with the consequences.
In a series of tweets the mother of one and duduke singer shared on her Twitter page, she said that what she found shocking is the educated people that still uphold tribalism in the country.
Simi wrote ” This tribalism is disgusting.
“What is most surprising is seeing seemingly educated, highly religious people behaving so badly. I’m so embarrassed.
“And all these for politicians that don’t give af about you or your family. Them just dey use you. When this election has passed, it’ll be you, the poverty you’re dying to maintain and your newfound lack of shame. They still won’t care” about YOU. Tribalism is disgraceful.
