Zanaco FC, a premier league club in Zambia, has announced the dismissal of former Super Eagles Player Emmanuel Amuneke and his assistant Emeka Amadi, who were serving as coaching consultants for the team.
The decision was made in response to a string of poor results, including the team’s failure to win any of their last 8 matches and a 0-1 home defeat to NAPSA Stars in their most recent game.
On Monday afternoon, the management of Zanaco FC issued an official statement confirming the dismissal of Amuneke and Amadi, as well as team head coach Kevin Kaindu.
The statement also announced the appointment of Wedson Nyirenda as the interim manager until the end of the season. As of match day 28, Zanaco FC is currently ranked 13th out of 18 teams in the league table.
