Injuries to Jack Grealish, Kevin De Bruyne, and Ruben Dias are all issues for Manchester City, according to Pep Guardiola, ahead of the FA Cup final.
The City trio were all missing on Sunday as City lost 1-0 to Brentford to end the Premier League campaign.
They were unable to play over the weekend due to fitness issues, and the coach says he is doubtful if they will be totally ready for the match against Manchester United at Wembley the following week.
Speaking after the Defeat to Brentford, Guardiola said:
āRuben didnāt train for 10 days and Jack Grealish neither,” Guardiola said. “After the Brighton game, Kevin felt the same feelings he had before weeks ago, they could not play a few games. Itās not a big, big issue. I think they will be ready [for the FA Cup final] but itās not to be ready [after], itās to be ready in the training sessions.ā
If De Bruyne, Grealish, and Dias are unable to resume training in the near future, it will be a major loss for City.
While Grealish who created seven and scored five goals in the English Premier League season, the Belgian playmaker (De Bruyne) provided an astonishing 16 assists in the Premier League this season.
Dias has been a crucial part of the City defense this season, making 41 appearances across all competitions.
He hasn’t played since May 17, when his team defeated Real Madrid 4-0 in the second leg of their Champions League semifinal match.
