Manchester United Leapfrogged Newcastle United into third place in the Premier League table with a convincing 2-0 victory over struggling Nottingham Forrest.
The visitors took a deserved lead in the 32nd minute when Antony pounced on a rebound after Forest’s goalkeeper, Keylor Navas, had saved Anthony Martial’s shot.
With 14 minutes remaining, Antony assisted Diogo Dalot who coolly slotted in United’s second goal.
This victory places United three points ahead of fourth-placed Newcastle United and six points ahead of fifth-placed Tottenham Hotspur, who have played an additional game.
Forest, who could have escaped the drop zone with a win, remains in 17th place, inside the bottom three on goal difference.
