Manchester City defender, Nathan Ake is out of the Wednesday’s League match against Arsenal and he is also a doubt for the Champions League match against Real Madrid.
Pep Guardiola has revealed that Nathan Ake will miss the game against title rivals Arsenal because of a hamstring injury he suffered last week against Bayern Munich.
Additionally, he is also a doubt for the first leg of the Champions League semifinal match against Real Madrid on May 9.
“I hope he can return soon, but as of tomorrow, he is out. Madrid, I don’t know”. Guardiola said during a press conference.
The manager was certain his team will find a solution against the Gunners despite the fact that Ake has been City’s first-choice left back since the World Cup:
“We will find the right player to do it, I don’t have doubts about that, we’ll play with 11,” he said.
Despite having two games in hand on Mikel Arteta’s team, City enters Wednesday’s match trailing Arsenal by five points. A win would put them one step closer to defending their title.
