On Sunday, Napoli cruised to a 4-0 victory over Torino with Victor Osimhen scoring two goals, taking his tally to 21 goals in Serie A.
Osimhen opened the scoring with a headed goal from Piotr Zielinski’s corner in the ninth minute and Khvicha Kvaratskhelia added another from the penalty spot before halftime.
In the second half, Osimhen completed his brace with another headed goal from Mathias Olivera’s floated ball, becoming the first player to score over 20 goals in Serie A this season. He then played a key role in the fourth goal, setting up Tanguy Ndombele to score.
With this win, Napoli now leads the Serie A table by 21 points, putting them on track to win their first title since 1990 with 12 games remaining.
Osimhen has been a vital part of Napoli’s success this season, overcoming an early injury to score 15 goals in 2023, tying with Manchester City’s Erling Haaland for the same number of goals, and being surpassed only by Marcus Rashford of Manchester United, who has scored 16 goals.
