Marcus Rashford has been honored as both the Players’ Player of the Year and the Sir Matt Busby Player of the Year for Manchester United.
Rashford’s exceptional performance this season at Old Trafford showcases his redemption after enduring a challenging period under the management of Ole Gunnar Solskjaer and Ralf Rangnick.
With an impressive tally of 30 goals across all competitions, including 17 in the Premier League, Rashford played a vital role in securing the Reds’ qualification for the Champions League next season.
United demonstrated their commitment to Rashford’s future in December by exercising their option to extend his expiring contract until 2024.
Echoing this sentiment, Erik ten Hag recently expressed his confidence that Rashford will soon sign a new deal. In an interview with Viaplay, ten Hag remarked:
”I expect Marcus Rashford to sign a new contract. He possesses the desire, and Manchester United shares the same intent. As a true product of this club, I fully expect this agreement to come to fruition.”
Among other accolades, Antony claimed the Men’s Goal of the Season award for his stunning curling strike on his debut against Arsenal in September.
The Women’s awards saw Alessia Russo emerge as the standout, receiving both the Fans’ Player of the Year and the Goal of the Season honors for her impressive goal against Arsenal.
Additionally, defender Hannah Blundell was recognized as the Players’ Player of the Year.
Notably, United introduced a new award, the Ian Stirling Fan Award, during the end-of-season celebration.
This prestigious honor pays tribute to the memory of lifelong supporter Ian Stirling, who tragically passed away at the age of 57 earlier this year.
Chief executive Richard Arnold announced the establishment of this annual award, which aims to recognize supporters who have demonstrated exceptional dedication and passion for the club.
This year, the award rightfully went to Ian Stirling himself, commemorating his unwavering commitment to Manchester United.”
