Marcus Rashford has resumed training at Manchester United, but due to an illness, he is remains doubtful for their Saturday trip to Bournemouth.
The England international, who has scored 29 goals for the Red Devils this season, hasn’t played since May 7’s Defeat at West Ham because of different minor injury and he also missed the victory over Wolves oast weekend.
Rashford is feeling a little under the weather, so Erik ten Hag was hoping to have him available for a match against the Cherries.
However, the 25 year old might be absent once more at the Vitality Stadium due to illness.
Speaking at his press conference ahead of the game, Ten Hag talked about the fitness levels of the team:
“So a positive, [Raphael] Varane is definitely available. Scott [McTominay] joined in training. When we find how well he does in training, then we know if he will be in. Rashy (Rashford) trained well the whole week but today he reported that he is ill. We have to see how he recovers during the day and see tomorrow.”
Fourth placed United has a game in hand on Liverpool going into their matchup with Bournemouth, and they hope to reclaim their four-point advantage in the race for Champions League qualification.
